FC Goa Moves to 3rd position
Football pundits and fans had speculated that FC Goa will crumble before the undefeated Bengaluru FC in their first home match of the season. However, FC Goa has just did the impossible, as they pulled out of an extraordinary performance to beat the table toppers by a margin of 4-3.
The brilliant hat-trick by Ferran Corominas helped the host to end the two match winning streak of Bengaluru FC. On the other hand, Miku and Erik Paartalu were the goal scorers of Bengaluru FC. Miku scored a brace and it even helped the visitors to level the match to 3-3 in the second half of the game.
The most crucial moment of the match came when the referee ordered a direct red card to Gurpreet Singh Sandhu for a rash and reckless challenge. Sandhu let the whole team down and still the 10 membered Bengaluru side put on a quite a show. Yet, they fall just a goal short, things would have surely ended a lot differently if Sandhu has avoided that tackle.
Bengaluru FC still maintains the top position on the table while FC Goa has just moved up to the third spot after their first home match.
